Spring Affair

The region’s latest wine festival has evolved into a beautiful spring trail between six iconic wineries. Coriole, Maxwell Wines, d’Arenberg, Serafino, Paxton and Penny’s Hill have combined to provide the perfect day out. Pick one of the wineries to relax for the day, or create yourself a tour to visit a few. With a range of food and entertainment offerings across the venues and vines budding at the beginning of Spring, the day is a must.

Shimmer Photographic Biennale

Shimmer is the only South Australian festival dedicated to celebrating the art of photography and the culture of the camera. The month long festival showcases photographic works and exhibits throughout the region, adding to its established reputation as a premium destination for the arts, food and wine. Keep an eye out for the workshops and masterclasses, which sell out quickly.



Port Noarlunga Deep South Blues and Roots Festival

Embrace your inner musician and groove along to blues and roots tunes at this three day event. With bands playing at a variety of venues, soak up the events village vibe. Enjoy the fabulous food, wine and local beer and soothe your soul with the nourishing sound of blues.



Santos Tour Down Under, Stage 6

As the region’s most iconic event, the Tour attracts visitors from all over the world. The stage brings riders to the beautiful stretch of coast and vines, travelling through McLaren Vale, Aldinga and Willunga, finishing with the epic Willunga Hill climb. Make a weekend of it, arrive early, pick your spot, soak up the electric atmosphere and be a part of the final stage of the tour.



Fleurieu Film Festival

Increasingly becoming one of the region’s top events, the festival celebrates the moving image on a local and national stage. Each year, the festival adopts a theme with this year’s being Climate Change. Films are projected onto a large screen amongst the vines at a fun evening under the stars. There’s food and wine on offer, with S.C. Pannell Winery hosting in 2019. It’s a stunning combination of food, wine, arts and culture in the region.

Sellicks Beach Historic Motorcycle Race

It doesn’t get more unique than this. Vintage motorbikes take to the sand to race along Sellicks Beach which originated in the early 1920’s. After almost a 60 year absence, in 2017 around a hundred vintage solo and sidecar vehicles competed. In 2019, the event will again be spectacular, with word spreading of the famous bikes on the beach.



McLaren Vale Vintage and Classic

Thousands of visitors pack the Mclaren Vale main street for the annual Vintage and Classic celebrating classic cars. Make sure you don’t miss the parade on Sunday morning.



McLaren Vale Sea and Vines Festival

For over two decades, the Sea and Vines Festival has been the region’s premier food and wine event, showcasing all the delicious drops and premium produce this diverse region has to offer. The three day event held over the June long weekend includes a family day on Monday, as well as a range of different themed events and pop-ups. From classic wine tastings to Greek feasts, you can pick and choose what you desire. Head to a couple of your own accord, or book in a tour with a group to see a selection.
